Painting Tips

Move all the furniture to the center of the room as possible and cover them with drop cloth or painters plastic.

Felling the gap between the walls and trims with all purpose caulk preferably color white caulk.

If possible remove the switch and receptacle cover plates and tape the electrical sockets and light switch with painters blue tape to avoid painting over it or splatter for easy cleaning.

Tape off the drop cloth onto the floor, the wood trim especially the bare wood and bare wood edge as they hard to clean and might not comes off at all.

For good ventilation just open the window and doors. When your done or waiting for the paint to dry for second coat you must close the windows if the temperature outside is colder than the inside because it will slow down the drying process.

When felling holes use a all purpose spackle. Don’t worry if its messy look or the hole is now a bump, it can get clean up using a damp sponge or cloth after it dries. Just wipe off the surface gently and smoothly that way you can control it better.
