Crackle

Step 1: Mask the trims, ceiling and the areas where you don’t want to get painted with painters blue tape. Tape the drop cloth onto the floor. Choose your base color, ( this is the color that will show through the crack.) paint the wall and allow it to dry at lease 4 hours.

Step 2: Apply the Faux Finish Crackle using brush or roller. Let it dry 3 to 4 hours or until no longer tacky.

Step 3: Being careful apply the top coat second paint color in one direction to avoid paint to lift off. The result will show within minutes. The top coat will begun to crack showing the base coat color beneath.

Tips: For small crack roll on thin top coat
Apply thick heavy layer of top coat using brush for big cracking.
Crackle finish is best for furniture too.
