BRUSHED PEARL

Add a elegance and sophistication to any room in the house by applying Faux Finishes on your wall.

If your not sure you’ll like the result, try it first on a 2ft x 2ft piece of wood or wood that is big enough to see the result. Play with it you’ll be surprise on many great result and technique you’ll fine on every stroke.

PS. Don’t use particle wood as it will absorb a lot of paint and will not give you good result.

STEP 1: Tape off all areas where you do not want the finish applied. Apply base coat with the roller to the entire surface. Allow to dry about 12 to 24 hours that way if you make mistake it can easily wipe off with a damp rug.

Step 2: Apply the Brushed Pearl along floor, ceiling, and molding first and proceed to the main wall brushing in an X pattern over a 5x8 area. To avoid thick applications apply an even opaque layer. Note: Use the color washing brush for great result.

Step 3: Using the plastic float trowel press it into the wet surface moving it in circular motion. It is necessary to wait a little longer if the trowel slips over the material (brushed pearl) it maybe because its too wet. Note: Periodically clean trowel during application.

Step 4: If a second coat desired, repeat steps 2 and 3 but you have allow the surface to dry first for four to five hours.

Step 5: If desired sheen finish look, apply a Water Base Clear coat, not only heighten the metallic effect of Brushed Pearl but it will add a protection. You can apply water base clear coat on any surface on wall mural painting.

If painters blue tape not around just have a damp cloth with you at all time and just wipe off the paint spill. Sometimes it easier to the edging without blue tape, that way you see the over painted edge and you can clean it right away rather than you wait until your done painting the paint will be dry then and you will have a hard to get it off especially on stained wood moldings because you can’t just painted it over.
